Day 1:
Hanoi - Pom
coong village. Mai Chau (L/D)
07h30- 8am we will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi and begin
our drive to beautiful Mai Chau. 12h: Arrive and setting down our
belongings before enjoying a home- cooked meal in our company's
exclusive host family's stilt house. free afternoon to wander around
and observe the local life of the thai ethnic minority. walking
around the village you will see woman skillfully weaving while
displaying their beautiful scarves and traditional clothing, while
others make" Com Lam" a traditional rice cooked in bamboo tubes and
charbroiled over open flame. chances are you will even catch a
glimpse of men building stilt homes spiriting one bamboo tube at a
time, Bicycles will be available for anyone wishing.
19h00: Come back and enjoy a simple and pleasant meal before the
evening's festivities
21h00: Right in the comfort of our stilt home you will entertained
with folkloric performances and given the opportunity to participate
in " Mua Sap" a fun traditional dance between bamboo tubes, and last
but not least, join in to taste " Ruou Can" a local rice wine (
dance the night away but make sure watch those steps or you might
walk away with a sore ankle)
Day 2
: Mai Chau - Hanoi
7h00: Enjoy
breakfast in the fresh morning air while roosters crow and birds
chirp then get on the van for a short drive towards Ma river passing
a hustling village market 8h00" Arrive at the dock and enjoy a calm
and pleasant boat ride to our trekking site 8h30" start the short 6
km trek along the Ma river in the direction of the village while
taking in the beautiful rural scenery 11h30: Arrive back at our host
family's home for our last meal before packing up and staying
goodbye to the ever friendly and welcoming family 13h00: Depart for
Hanoi return to your hotel at approximately 17h00..
